Featured Recipe: Pininyahang Adobo
This is our latest tropical twist on the classic Adobo and it makes it as easy at it looks.
In this video, Iโll show you how we use the natural sweetness of packaged Del Monte Pineapple TidBits
to build a thick, sweet and savory glaze that basically asks for a heaping serving of hot rice.
Itโs sweet, itโs salty, and itโs one of those recipes that proves why you can do it in your own Kusina.

Why We Film Our Recipes
At Kusina Cooks, we donโt just throw instructions at you and hope for the best.
We want you to see the textures, the colors, and that specific “sizzle” and imagery that tells you the heat and the soul is just right.
Every video on this page is filmed right here in not any professional studio or place, but our actual home kitchen.
We document the process so that when youโre standing at your own stove, your dish looks, smells, and tastes exactly like mine.
Itโs about showing you the reality of the kitchen, this time made easy, including the small details that a written recipe might miss.

Behind the Gallery: The Heart of the Kusina Cooks
Why We Created This Video Vault
In the modern digital age, a recipe has to be more than just a list of ingredients and measurements.
I realized that a lot of our readers and viewers have been struggling with those specific Filipino techniques +
that are hard to describe in text like that exact, “hands-off” moment when you add vinegar to an
Adobo and not to mix it, or how to get that perfect “onion overload” crunchy texture in a Pork Bistek.
This gallery exists to bridge the gap between reading a recipe and actually cooking with technique.
We film every single video right here in our home kitchen using real-time heat and the same pantry staples you have in your cupboard.
My goal is to show you that flavors donโt require a culinary degree,
you just need a bit of patience and the right visual cues.
Our Commitment to Authenticity
Every video you see here is a “Live Lab” of the recipes found on this site.
Unlike those polished and sometime too perfect studio productions, I keep these videos grounded what all of us can do.
Youโre going to see the steam, the good, the bad and the ugly as well as why sometimes ingredients just come together.
These Recipes are Authentic, Studied, Tried and Tested so feel free to enjoy them as well!
How to Get the Most Out of These Tutorials
- Watch for the Sizzle: Listen for the sound of the sear in our masterclasses. That sound is your best tool for knowing when your pan is at the perfect temperature.
- Check the Description: Every video links back to a dedicated post on this site containing the full recipe block for your precise measurements.
- Engage with us: If a technique in the video isn’t clear, drop a comment on our YouTube channel. I use your feedback to refine how we film future recipes to make them even easier for you.
